INTRO

At last, the racing is starting. It was painful for the sport lovers to see how ridiculous the situation was, and it’s not over. The MTC had no choice to start the season, in fact they are not the ones who were solely to blame for the delay. MTC without a doubt needs to re-evaluate how the club is being run, there are a lot of changes that need to be made. However the core problem is not there, it is some external forces are trying to put their hands on the organization of the racing. Well we are not here for the politics, let the show begin and enjoy fantasy lecourse. We appreciate all the support and love we received, this will help us to do more in the future.

RACE 1: VALERIN

The first race of the season seems to be very interesting on paper. OPAGUE has been terrific in training and should run a brave race. He’s been one of the stars in training and he’s taken to confirm. The draw is of concern, he needs to be settled in midfield and that won’t be easy. Y.EMAMDEE has a golden opportunity to open this account for the season but he will need to be clever, the stable is less confident. Last season, Y.EMAMDEE seemed he was close to retirement after some bad rides but he’s in for one more season. YANKEE FORCE will be a big threat, R.BHAUGEEROTHEE has the rage to win and he still did not digest how S.JONES ended their association after bringing them some good wins. VALERIN should win the opening race, he’s been in fine and C.DABY rate him as his best chance of the day. A.SONARAM is a young man with a bright future, time for him to shine. It seems a bit tough for the rest to be competitive, if there will be a surprise it will be MINALOUSHE VENTURE.

RACE 2: GIRATORIO

The second race will be a three horse fight; SAND PATH, GIRATORIO and CRUSHING FORCE. GIRATORIO is a promising sort, keep an eye on him he will win this season.It has been widely said it’s because of him B.FAYD’HERBE has defered his suspension. CRUSHING FORCE saved the season for A.PERDRAU last year, he’s still immature and more will be needed from him to feature. There are three newcomers, all of them are worth watching. C.DABY was left furious last year, when I.CHISTY lost on SAND PATH. He was red with anger, and that was the tipping point to end their association. It was a race that he couldn’t lose. This time even with a bad draw it will be tough and with the allowance of A.SONARAM, it will be handy. He’s been excellent in training, not for this time though.

RACE3: MEMPHIS MAFIA

A.AUCHARAZ and ZIGI ZAGI ZUGI are a good pairing. Remember last year, the tandem started on a roll and the same is expected here. S.NARANG has used his trump card and there is a reason for that. It will catch me if you can! APOLLO STAR seemed to have regained some form, to watch. MEMPHIS MAFIA is enjoying a very good spell, R.MAINGARD has taken a lot of care and patience and it paid off. The question is will P C ORFFER will be able to bring him home? He better put some good showing else it can become very toxic for him. MEMPHIS MAFIA is in the form of his life, she should make it. DOUBLE GAMES is coming with a big chance in this. There is a reason why B.FAYD’HERBE has deferred his suspension, and he promised to bring him home. DO OR DARE will be an asset for his stable, but with T.JUGLALL on board, it doesn’t seem a viable option.

RACE4: SWAGGER JAGGER

It will be a two horse race SWAGGER JAGGER and CARLAS MAMBO. CANDY APPLE has rather been a disappointment last season. After a winning debut he couldn’t add any more wins under his belt, though he wasn’t disgraced in any. Often a beaten favorite, it can be a bis-repetita. CARLAS MAMBO has been very useful for his yard, and should bag a couple this year too. B.WOODWORTH is on board, and we all know his pedigree. S.JONES will have a much better season with a permanent jockey. SWAGGER JAGGER can make a winning debut, he’s been very good in training. S.MAHADIA though is rather careful with him, they have a silent hope. If not this time, he will be in the winning enclosure soon. 

RACE 5: PRINCE OF VENICE

A very open contest, many can feature. SEATTLE KID is a genuine performer, he will be there again but not for the win. SHADOWING has been one of the revelations last year, with all the scandal around the owner of this horse it seems the stable want to make a low profile at the beginning of the season. Based on form, he is one of the best of the lot. AFDEEK is always there, but not this time. There are some interesting newcomers in this race, ROYAL ITALIAN need to show more. LIVERPOOL CHAMP is coming with a good reputation, he will be competitive. PRINCE OF VENICE is one of the best acquisitions for S.MAHADIA, and they have high hopes on him. He can start with a bang!

RACE 6: THOMAS HENRY

THOMAS HENRY should win this easy. S.DONOHUE has a golden chance to start on a good note. We know GUJADHUR know their business, they don’t allow their jockeys to make too many mistakes. Although THOMAS HENRY has showed signs of immaturity, we shall see how S.DONOHUE handles him. CRAZY CHARLIE is the biggest threat to the favorite, he will be there to bounce. CARLTOM HEIGHTS and RIVER THAMES are to be watched, they still need some more fitness. WELL CONNECTED is not to be ignored, especially if the money is in! ZODIAC JACK seemed to have past his best.

RACE 7: GOLDEN TRACTOR

ROB ROY has a decent chance in a very open contest. He has a very good association with D.SOOFUL, and his wins last year are the proof. The two seem to work well, in the lot if given a soft lead he will be hard to catch. KAMADEVA is a genuine sort, he will be right there.QUATRO FIVE SIX will need this run. VIRTUE will go close, but he might need a more experienced rider. RULE THE NIGHT, is in with a big chance but the distance might be too short for him. B.WOODWORTH should open his account with GOLDEN TRACTOR, he is very confident as well as the yard. GOLDEN TRACTOR has a formidable pedigree, he will do well here. 

RACE 8: HARDWIRED

It can be a fantastic day for the S.MAHADIA/ P.MERVEN tadem. COUP FOR LUTE has a wonderful pedigree, it won’t be a surprise if he wins! His training has been good but he still has some room for progress. HARDWIRED is our selection, K.KALYCHURUN has been a big disappointment. Over and over again he has failed, we would be happy if he wins but not worth taking the risk at a short price. HARDWIRED has been trained to kill, let’s see what the jockey does! The field is quite competitive except for MIDNIGHT ORACLE who might find it tough. The owners of DUKE OF YORK had lots of hope in him, hope he can re-discover his form. STRAIGHT will be in the placings.

RACE 9: DOUBLE THINK

This is a very tough race, everyone stands a chance. The odds fluctuation will be indicative of the winner. WHY WOULDN’T YEW is a class dropper will be right there. IF B.FAYD’HERBE manages to settle COPENHAGEN, he will be in the mix. He’s quite difficult to handle but seemed to have progressed in training. Is he the reason why the jockey has deferred the suspension? NIMITZ has yet to show his hand. G I JOE will need this run. As mentioned it’s a hard race, be careful here anything can happen. DOUBLE THINK had only one run so far and was hampered. He is a very good sort and R.GUJADHUR stable is in a confident mood to land the gamble. B.BAUGEEROTHEE is confident he will strike.
