RACE 1: KINGS EMPIRE

The opening race is a tough one, it can be anybody’s race. Watch the market movers, it will be a good indication where their money is on. GROBAN if he repeats his last run has a chance but the outside draw will be problematic. XANTHUS will be a big player, but might face traffic problems. KINGS EMPIRE’s last race is to be ignored, he did not like the going. R.BHAUGEEROTHEE has promised to make amends and bring him home. The connections are confident. MISTY ROLLER is much fitter with one race under his belt, but will need to battle hard to take the lead. Beware of HIT THE GREEN who can cause a small upset.

RACE 2: OXFORD BLUE

BENI DES DIEUX is a promising sort, it won’t be a surprise if he wins. His connections want to give him this run first before they can properly assess him. FAIRBANKS is in contention here, B.FAYD’HERBE trusts he will be in the mix. A better race is expected from MASTER MARINER. Beware of RUBY SPIRIT if given all the chances will be a threat to our selection. THE TIME IS NOW will run a good race, he will do well here. P.NAGADOO is still after his first win, they have a decent chance here. C.DABY has high hopes with OXFORD BLUE, he rates him very highly and makes him his best chance of the day. He will be a big runner.

RACE3: ROMANUS

SIX DEGREES is making his debut, he is down two benchmarks a major contender here. His connections rate him very highly, if the money is on watchout. ROMANUS is having his first run of the season, he runs well fresh and with the plum draw he will be ideally placed. S.DONOHUE is hoping for a double on the card. RON’S JOY will need this run, likewise for SACRED NIGHT. The other two newcomers will need to prove their worth. Place chance at best for MIDDLE PATH

RACE4: MAMBO ROCK

It will be a duel between SEATTLE KID and MAMBO ROCK. SEATTLE is the favorite, he sometimes can prove difficult to handle. A.SONARAM thinks he has a decent chance. It’s high time for MAMBO ROCK to win, he often is unlucky and not this time. B.BHAUGEEROTHEE best chance of the day and promised he will steer him home. The others have little to show for except for GIMMETHERAIN who try to make it all. 

RACE 5: ALAMAEERY

This is a tough one to break down. THOMAS HENRY is coming back after a spell on the sidelines, we cannot write him off but the stable is cautious with him especially with the outside draw. An improved race is expected from DO OR DARE. ALAMEERY is our pick, J.ALLYHOSAIN is confident to replicate his ride ON ARLINGTON REVENGE. S.JONES trusts that his time has come. WELL CONNECTED is to be reviewed. R.MAINGARD’s favorite horse in the yard is SKIP THE YARD, he gave him so much during his career. A bold run is expected from him. DIVINE CONNECTION is not a sound horse, hardly reliable.

RACE 6: ROYAL ITALIAN

A very competitive field, and ROYAL ITALIAN is our pick, especially now The Azzurri has lifted the European Cup. He was somehow unlucky in his previous run whereby at a crucial moment he had to change line thus denying him the victory. He concluded very well even that and was not very far from HUBBLE. His connections are confident and R.BHEEKARY is confident to bring a winner after a barren spell. He will be in the box seat and will finish strongly. HUBBLE ran a brave race only to fade in the final metres, he will up there if given a soft lead might be hard to catch. ALL ABOUT THE BASS and ROMAN DANCER will be right there. Beware of COLOUR OF MY FATE who made an excellent debut.

RACE 7: PADRE PIO

We have a very interesting race here with PADRE PIO facing R.MAINGARD’s horses. It will be a tactical race, R.MAINGARD is a mastermind in this. Both FOOLS GOLD and KAYDENS PRIDE are in with a decent chance, both will try hard to upset the favorite. COUNT JACK unfortunately will have a battle of his own to fight at this stage. BAG OF TRICKS will be fighting for the places. PADRE PIO is one of the best acquisitions this season. Many of those who have trained him are full of praises, A.ROY has even said on a talk show that he is the best horse that he’s ridden. Even B.FAYD’HERBE has trained him on a few occasions and said he’s a beast. That’s says it all, he will be a tough nut to crack with S.DONOHUE on board!

RACE 8: XENON

AL JAZEERA is back after a long spell, and will need this run. MANILETE and MR MOGAMBO will fight the placings. The latter has been a huge disappointment so far. ANZA-BORREGO is back after a long lay off, he can only improve. BLEU ROYALE outside draw will make it tough for him. YANKEE FORCE will be right there. P C OFFER makes XENON his best chance, but not much conviction here. R.MAINGARD has a silent hope with him, though he has yet to peak they have a silent hope with him. We take a chance on him, with nothing much happening around the stables for this race.

RACE 9: MAURITIUS

It should be a simple affair for MAURITIUS. He was so impressive last time out and with this average field, it would be tough to run down. The connections are extremely confident, it will be two out of two. LOOSEN YOUR TIE is not a sound horse, improvement is expected. DUNZIE and WHAT A KID are the main threats to the favorite but they will ultimately fight for the places. It will be harder this time for CAPTAIN FALCON to feature, as he won’t be in the lead.
