RACE 1: GLITTERROCK

An open contest, a tentative vote goes to GLITTERROCK, he is down in the grades and cause a little upset if well ridden. The R.GUJADHUR stable is confident of a good race of DESERT THIEF but the outside draw is a concern. DAREDEVIL AVIATOR won last time after a tough battle, might be difficult this time. NAPOLI and KIMBERLY are back after a short break, it might be hard for them to hold the 1850m. The best prepared horse is STARSKY, but his jockey is questionable. RACE 2: DUKE OF YORK

Another open race, SACRED NIGHT and BOLD PHOENIX are the co-favorites. In this race we strongly fancy the winner will be another horse. TEMP THE TIGER is the one to watch as the P NAGADOO stable fancy this horse and has been tipped to run a good race. The one to follow is DUKE OF YORK, he never finished far from the winners in South Africa and can make a winning debut.

RACE3: BALLANTINE HALL

KING OF TARA might be too hot to handle for A.ROY, but won’t give in without a fight. R.JOORAWON makes BALLANTINE HALL his best chance of the day and will be in a striking position and the distance will suit him. The main danger will be HIGH KEY, highly regarded by his trainer and will surely win this season.

RACE4: TARANAKI

N.JUGLALL was convinced he would have won last time if the gap had not been closed. He was quite unlucky and can make amends as he ran in a higher company in his previous runs. DYNAMITE JACK could be hard to beat on his day, but we are wondering why he is not equipped with a drop noseband which he used in training. WHY WOULDN’T YEW seems to be back in shape, his last race is to be ignored. It will be good to watch the performance of BESTDAY OF MYLIFE.

RACE 5: CONSUL OF WAR

CONSUL OF WAR ran in two ratings above on hit last outing and finished second, he was declared as a non-runner. He made some 15 lengths in a higher grade and if he repeats this race, we can’t see anyone resisting him. ALL ABOARD was prepared for J.ALLYHOSAIN, and might be saved for a future run. The danger is BARAK LAVAN, who finished a surprised second he can lead all the way. Watch out for WEST COAST WARRIOR, the distance will suit him.

RACE 6: MIND BLOWING

Fancied by the yard on his last outing, MIND BLOWING has an excellent chance to visit the winning enclosure. He faces a very decent field but he can get the better of all of them. JET STREAM has been very consistent and will be in the mix again and if found a cover, watch out. Without J.ALLYHOSAIN it will be hard for GIMMETHERAIN, better watch next time. DROP KICK has been heavily backed, after an eye-catching debut he can feature.

RACE 7: PERPLEXING

Yes, we are going against the monument WHITE RIVER. There’s nothing to say against WHITE RIVER, he is a champion and he proved it over time he’s classy. His training has been excellent and has improved from his last outing. A chance is taken on PERPLEXING, though having S.RAMA is not very exciting. His connections are confident this could be one of the rare chances he can get the better of WHITE RIVER. He has been trained to beat the champion. The dark horse of the race is MADE TO CONQUER, this will be a prelude of what he can do in the maiden cup.

RACE 8: FLOWERSCAPE

D.DAVID makes FLOWERSCAPE his best chance of the day. He was inconvenienced in his last outing and finished like a rocket. He might prove too strong in this field. EIGHT CITIES will be his main rival but only a first run can make him an eventual winner. The rest provides little to stop the R.GUJADHUR protégé. MIDNIGHT ORACLE can be in the trifecta.

RACE 9: LIT

ANZA-BORREGO is coming back after a week, some members of P NAGADOO stable were not happy as they were tipped to back the horse and mostly after the win of COME ON SONNY, things are sour at the stable. Some can move away from the stable. TROJAN WINTER is to watch on a shorter trip, and he is coming for a run. NEWSMAN and DO OR DARE can feature. LIT can lit this race as he is by far the best horse in the race. He was never disgraced in South Africa and can be irresistible!
