RACE 1: BOLD PHOENIX

We all know the circumstances in which BOLD PHOENIX finished in second place, we had lots of views and everyone gave their version. In our humble opinion, we find it hard to blame B.BHAUGEEROTHEE, we do believe it was a genuine accident. In this lot, BOLD PHOENIX will be the one to beat, heavily fancied last time he should hit the post first. His connections expect nothing less than a win. The one to be wary of is SILVER SONG, who is ever consistent and will be there again. LIT is a promising sort but will need a few runs to reach full potential.

RACE 2: SIBERIAN HUSKY

In this field ALL ABOARD is one class above but J.ALLYHOSAIN is not very confident in his chances. The outside draw might be a factor but he will try to overcome that. EIGHT CITIES is coming after an impressive win last time out, but his connections this time does not rate him that much. It will be difficult for him to get a soft lead and will be a tougher contest. SIBERIAN HUSKY is tipped to run a good race, his connections are very confident and with a good draw he will try to secure a good position. R.JOORAWON is hoping to bounce back with a bang and rate SIBERIAN HUSKY highly. It’s hard to see the rest featuring in this race.

RACE3: EMERALD BAND

EMERALD BAND will take the power of a beating. His trainer is aligning for a consecutive week as there will be no suitable race for him soon. He was impressive last time as he did not break from the stalls the fastest but took command and finished nicely. It will be three in a row for him, his connections are confident. SHADOWING the recent winner will be his main threat but the outside draw is a big disadvantage. S.BUSSUNT didn’t get the ride this time and we all know why. IN YOUR DREAMS can be irresistible on his day, but the stable prefer to see him this time. RAHEEB seems to be the only other one who can frighten the favorite and the rest looks average.

RACE4: ALL ABOUT THE BASS

J.ALLYHOSAIN is hoping for a win this Saturday, and ALL ABOUT THE BASS will give him that. He has been prepared for the return of Jameer, and is ripe for the win. We can’t see anyone give him a scare, not even NORTHERN SPY, with all the respect due to the latter it will be a tough task to beat the S.HURCHUND protégé. We predict ALL ABOUT THE BASS should win with the minimum of fuss. The rest of the field does not inspire much trust.

RACE 5: MARAUDING

GUJADHUR ‘s star horse is back, and might again prove to be too strong. His connections firmly believe he’s a better horse than IDITAROD TRAIL. It will be a sixth timer for him and we wonder where he will stop. He’s been superb in training and keeps on improving. IDITAROD is a very good horse, did nothing wrong so far. The ROUSSET stable is aware they have a mountain to climb in MARAUDING. SACRED FLAME a recent winner can be in the placings. One to watch is GUNSTON, who will win a race this year.

RACE 6: TOWER OF WISDOM

N.JUGLALL rates TOWER OF WISDOM as his best chance of the day. In this field if wisely ridden he should get the better of his opponents. N.JUGLALL will try the same tactics as RULE THE NIGHT if the pace is slow. He has a terrific form and should go close again. S.RAMA was heavily criticized on PALACE CHAPEL, and rightly so. PALACE CHAPEL is taking his time to capture his South African form and can still improve condition wise. IDEAL SECRET will be coming at them from the inside draw, watch out!

RACE 7: ALYAASAAT

ALYAASAAT is a class above, and is in the form of his life. His training has been excellent and should score. Hopefully he doesn’t miss the start, on his pedigree and performances he should easily get the better of the rest. ARABIAN AIR and LEMON DROP SHOT will be watching closely for any mishaps. Any mistake of the favorite, they will be ready to bounce. The race seems to be easy to read, but we feel that there might be a surprise, and why not SENATLA!

RACE 8: DOUBLE GAMES

DOUBLE GAMES was so impressive last time, we cannot see anyone beating him and V.ALLET will be hoping for a double the same as last week. His trainer is very confident and MINNESOTA DREAM does not scare him as he rates his horse much better. The outside draw should not be a problem and he might be too strong in this field. N.BATCHAMEAH has been constantly progressing and a win for him will come soon, ZODIAC JACK will have a good run under him. OCEAN DRIVE SOUTH will be the main danger in this race, he can offer I.CHISTY a good start.

RACE 9: AMANDLA

AMANDLA has faced tougher opponents and is dropping in class. He might prove too strong and will take a lot of catching if he leads. S.BUSSUNT has already proved that he can lead well. I.CHISTY has promised to break the ice on his first meeting and will do whatever it takes to bring MANOLETE home. THE FORERUNNER made an eye-catching debut, but it won’t be this time. It is the most open contest of the day, better watch and see where the money is!
