RACE 1: EPIC SWORD

The first race is anybody’s race, a tentative vote goes to EPIC SWORD. Around the S.NARANG yard they have a silent hope with him. It’s worth a win/place bet. JET PATH on his day can be very hard to catch. BIG SMOKE with the inside draw has a chance. VALERIN and NEWMAN won’t be very far. HIT THE GREEN merits respect in this average field. It is very hard to pick anyone with the great conviction as no one expressed a strong statement to win this. It will be good to watch the market movers and see where the money is.

RACE 2: MAURITIUS

It is being said it won’t be that easy for MAURITIUS this time but he still has the edge on the others. There are rumours going around that he will be beaten. From the stable side they are confident to land another blow, the jockey is equally confident. PERDRAU stable is hoping for a better race from JACALAC. GLOBAL GLORY has an undeniable potential, it seems he is not ready yet for the win. The DABY connections are confident with SAUNA’S CESSNA, they believe he will go very close if not win. DUKE OF YORK continues to disappoint. Don’t write off CLOUD SEEDER, he can cause an upset.

RACE 3: BONNIE PRINCE

The most open race on the card, we can make a case for each one of them. Our pick here is BONNIE PRINCE, he has done well in this rating and distance. The HURCHUND stable believes in his chances, he runs well fresh. He has been trained to kill. I.SANTANA believes he can win on him. SIX DEGREES, a recent winner will be there again. GIGGIN still needs to improve. BELLAGIO KING was a little disappointing, and needed to do more. GRAND VISION has a very good chance in this. ANDERSON and LASAIR will need to improve. OVERDOSE won’t finish very far. 

RACE 4: RON’S JOY

RON’S JOY is in the form of his life, he should bag a fourth consecutive win. He’s been super impressive and he is tipped to run a cracker, the assistant trainer has faith he will be too strong. D.SOOFUL relished the association with RON’S JOY and he promised to bring him home. The two newcomers need to be assessed after this race. BLESS MY PATH should improve after his debut. CHOIR OF ANGELS has passed his best. BOLD PHOENIX and TRIPOD won’t finish very far. TIMES NEW ROMAN is a very good sort, won’t be a surprise if he wins all depends on the apprentice.

RACE 5: ABSOLUTIST

Another close contest with many solid pretenders. HUBBLE is taking to regain his form. CAPTAIN FLYNT AND CYBER SPECIAL are both in excellent shape, they will go close. ARLINGTON’S REVENGE will need to work hard to beat the favorites. KAZAAR and TIGER’S BOND are to be reviewed. JOHN HANCOCK on his day can beat anyone. Our pick here is ABSOLUTIST, he ran two brilliant races. A.SEWDYAL makes him his best chance of the day. He is one of the fittest horses in his yard.

RACE 6: BLACK CAT BACK

BLACK CAT BACK is the one to beat here, he is the best in the lot. P C ORFFER is suspended and R.MAINGARD does not have any runner, this will give the chance for another yard to land the main event. The GUJADHUR has strong faith in their chances and especially in this field. Y.EMAMDEE is confident as well. COUNT JACK is having difficulties to adapt to the local condition, and will need time to settle down. WALL TAG won’t finish very far. ARIZONA SILK and STOPALLTHECLOCKS have everything to prove. RED MARS will be a big threat with his light weight.

RACE 7: DESERT BOY

DESERT BOY will be hard to go past. Strongly fancied in his last outing he found an irresistible REMUS. This time there should be no mistake. STRAIGHT is a reliable sort. YANKEEDOODLEDANDY will do well in this class. ROCK MANOR won’t finish too far if given a proper chance. It will be harder for JALS TIGER this time. Watchout for STOCKBRIDGE never disgraced in his recent runs. The rest will need to dig deep. 

RACE 8: ITALIAN WAY

A very interesting race and our pick is ITALIAN WAY. It will be a fitting present for the birthday boy B.FAYD’HERBE. Lately there have been lots of questions asked whether he is staying, he is walking on a tightrope which might snap anytime. B.FAYD’HERBE has vowed to win on ITALIAN WAY to make his fans happy. BENI DES DIEUX is showing signs of progress, but still has to prove it all. CASANOVA KING should run a good race. GONTRAVELIN form has been more than decent, will finish close. OPAGUE is a serious contender, he was very much liked by S.DONOHOE. The rest will need to work hard to feature.
