RACE 1: BLUNDERBUSS

The opening race is a tricky contest. It’s been a while since we did not have an extreme outsider in the first race, it can be now. It will be worth watching the odds evolution, it will be indicative of who won’t win. MIDNIGHT MESSENGER has a big chance in this, he has been training well and will be there. GIMME A SWINGER is not reliable, needs more to feature. MISTY ROLLER is one of the main contenders, with apprentice A.SONARAM showing good qualities he will finish well if can find a decent running position. BLUNDERBUSS has been behaving well of late, this time the stable connection fancy him to go all the way. R.JOORAWON has been booked, and he is confident to steer him home.

RACE 2: CAPKUTA

Could it be the first of A.PERDRAU? Well, all the lights are green for a winning debut. He has been training well and with the support of S.RAMDIN who is overlooking the training, CAPKUTA has been trained to kill. Though the mood around the PERDRAU yard is not as it’s been, a bold run is expected. CARLTON HEIGHTS is a class dropper, watchout as he has the excellent M.MARTINEZ on board. LEAD SINGER made a promising debut, but the connections seem to wait for future engagements. SENTIDO has been improving in his recent runs, watchout. TIME IS GOLD has been raced lightly in S.Africa, better watch.

RACE3: KEIKO

A bold run is expected from KEIKO. Heavily fancied by his connections last time out, he can make amends. He was somehow unlucky not getting the clearest of run, and would have finished closer. A.SEWDYAL is less confident in the chances of APOLLO STAR this time. WELL CONNECTED never disappoints, but we wonder if it is high time to give him a rest. NAO FAZ MAL surprised more than one finishing second, this time it will be much harder. VAR EXPRESS last run is to be ignored, a better race is expected.

RACE4: NINOTTO

A very good contest, with many pretenders. KING OF TARA has more in his locker, his trainer is confident he has more to offer and cross the line first. Jockey B.FAYD’HERBE is somehow confident but fears the opposition. HARMONICA is rather unpredictable at his stage. CANDY APPLE didn’t disgrace in any of his outings, but seems to lack that little bit extra. NINOTTO is coming back after a break, he is a genuine performer and is highly regarded by his trainer. D.DAVID vowed to bring him home and make his fans happy. GREAT STOHVANEN is an interesting outsider, and A.SEWDYAL hopes to make a betting coup.

RACE 5: CHARLESTON HERO

CHARLESTON HERO has been irresistible of late, he has been impressive and can confirm. B.FAYD’HERBE gives him the best chance of the day. LEMON DROP SHOT seems to have lost his form, he should perform next year also as he is a honest performer. PROTEA PARADISE is the dark horse, he can cause a small upset in this field. ALL ABOARD needs a strong handling, we wonder if N.JUGLALL will make the right move.

RACE 6:AFDEEK

A wide open contest, many make appeal. AFDEEK makes the appeal with PC ORFFER given a boost with his double last week. We know he was under pressure and he repaid the faith with two wins. It was somehow unfair to him as some horses in the MAINGARD stable are not ready to win and certain members were putting unnecessary pressure on him. SEATTLE KID will be a big factor in this, but the outside draw would not be in his favor. OVATION AWARD would have preferred a longer trip. ALL ABOUT THE BASS is the best horse in this field, but can S.RAMA be trusted???

RACE 7: HAYLOR

Another good contest, HAYLOR on form is the one to beat. He’s been constantly improving and is ripe to win. Both the stable and jockey are confident and makes him their best chance of the day. TOWER OF WISDOM cannot be written off. He’s a consistent sort but needs to have a favorable run. TRIPLE FATE LINE is taking time to hit form, one of the best purchases of HURCHUND stable this year, race after race he’s improving. It won’t be far to get his first win. The distance seems a bit long for KAMADEVA.

RACE 8: PATROL OFFICER

It should be a simple affair for PATROL OFFICER. He’s been so impressive and faces a rather weak opposition. He is the star of the ROUSSET yard and should continue his winning run. OPERA ROYAL is the one who can challenge the favorite. PUGET SOUND made good gallops, and is the best on distance. He was entered in the maiden cup and was later scratched. The smaller the field, the biggest the upset.

RACE 9: DOUBLETHINK

This is anyone’s race, but our vote goes to R.GUJADHUR’s debutant DOUBLETHINK. He has drawn well, and his connections expect nothing less than a win. He has been training very well and is in fine form to win. His S.African form is excellent and should get the better of the field. THE RIGHT STUFF is almost a hopeless case, often fancied he never shows up for the win. It will be tougher for GREENFLASHSUNSET this time. A better run is expected from CAPTAIN GARETT.

RACE 10: COME ON SONNY

It will be a fight between the P NAGADOO protege and his ex stable companion ANZA-BORREGO. COME ON SONNY did not get the best of start last time out and finished very well. Drawn on the inside he would be a big player and the stable is confident of a win. ANZA-BORREGO has changed yards, and will be in a striking position. SILVER SONG cannot be written off. LADY’S KNIGHT would have preferred a longer trip, but can still feature. The race should be between the three but our vote goes to COME ON SONNY as his trainer said he is in the form of his life and would be hard to resist.
