RACE 1: BIG SMOKE

An open contest, it’s anybody’s race. DUNZIE is good form. WHAT A KID and BARAK LAVAN are not a priority. MIDNIGHT MESSENGER if he repeats his win will be a serious player. SARAH’S SECRET and NEW GOLDEN AGE are in with a chance. SPECIAL FORCE is rather unpredictable. It’s hard to put any kind of faith in NORTHERN REBEL. Our pick here is BIG SMOKE. I.TAKA has shown signs of a promising jockey, he was applauded for his performances. He promised to give it all to win on BIG SMOKE.

RACE 2: MAURITIUS

MAURITIUS should be back to winning ways, last time was a mishap which should not happen again. The connections are confident for a win. I.SANTANA gives him as his best chance. JACK TARR is a very good sort, his time will come. R.MAINGARD trusts in his capabilities and will progress even more. MEZUZAH will fight for the placings. SEVENTH RULE and CARLO COLLODI will need to battle hard. PIN DROP and DOUBLETHINK are solid place chances.

RACE 3: MEMPHIS MAFIA

A very open race, with many serious contenders. LICKERIO and PROTEA PARADISE are not priorities. BALLANTINE HALL has a very good chance in this, but he needs to be cleverly ridden. ITDAWNEDONME will bounce back and run a better race. FLOWERSCAPE cannot be written off. CANDLE COVE is a decent outsider. AMANDLA faces stiff opposition. DREAMFOREST will find it hard in this class and distance. MEMPHIS MAFIA should have done better last time, he finished nicely. It seems he lost position and it was over for him. Strongly fancied by the connections, P C ORFFER promised to make amends.

RACE 4: CASH CALL

SENATLA is down in class, the jockey is questionable. SOCKEROO needs to run more disciplined. SWAGGER JAGGER is down in class, he is the dark force. S.MAHADIA has a silent hope with him. TALKING SILK and CLOUDED HILL are not priorities. TIMES NEW ROMAN and BOLD PHOENIX have solid place chances. Last time CASH CALL was a no go. The big bosses at S.HURCHUND were not happy that certain people backed the horse before them. S.HURCHUND believes CASH CALL is in good shape and can win this one.

RACE 5: LEMON DROP SHOT

A very interesting race, the most attractive race on the card. JOHN HANCOCK is a place chance. KAYDENS PRIDE needs no introduction, but his inability to win makes him a money eater. He won’t be very far but the outside draw is problematic. CHARLESTON HERO is a decent outsider. YORKTOWN and ZO LUCKY are not priorities. HAKEEM and LIVERPOOL CHAMP will have to battle hard. DESERT ILLUSION has a solid chance, but the outside draw will make it tricky for him. GUNSTON cannot be written off but the distance can be questionable. LEMON DROP SHOT is in terrific form, he should have won last time. It was a bad ride, he would have won. R.JOORAWON has been booked to make amends. A.SEWDYAL is confident of the win.

RACE 6: NOURBESE

NOURBESE will be a tough nut to crack, on debut he showed what he is capable of. He is one if not the best purchase of this season. He has enormous potential and with R.MAINGARD he has a top trainer. It should be two out of two, and P C ORFFER is confident to bring him home. RED MARS and BLACKBURN ROC are two solid challengers if the favorite fails. Progress is expected from HELLOFARIDE. BACKPACKER and ROYAL ITALIAN need to show more in this field. BATTLE OF ALESIA won’t finish far. CONSUL OF WAR and BRILLIANT DISGUISE are decent outsiders.

RACE 7: JACALAC

Another open contest, JACALAC is taken to confirm after an impressive win. A.PERDRAU is happy with his workouts and gives him a strong chance to double up. JAMES PETER never confirmed his debut win. ANDERSON and PROMISSORY are not priorities. SAND PATH cannot be written off, he always gives his best. YANKEEDOODLEDANDY and UNBELIEVABLE LAD are place chances. Ignore JALS TIGER last run, he will do better if he leads. TRAVELIN MAN came close, lacked that little bit extra to win. Let’s see how AL JAZEERA does this time.

RACE 8: GLOBAL GLORY

The last race will be between SPRY and GLOBAL GLORY. SPRY is an upcoming horse, and will do well here. He is gradually gaining fitness and is a serious player here. It’s almost a toss up between those two, our pick is GLOBAL GLORY. He lacked that little in his last outing and was fancied by the connections. They seemed to put their trust again in him. AFTER THE ORDER failed to confirm his win. RAIN MUST FALL has all to prove. DIGITAL FORTRESS is just an outsider. HARDFALLINGRAIN and ULTIMATE WARRIOR will fight for the placings.
