RACE 1: SPECIAL FORCE

The opening race is a pandora box, it’s anyone’s race. We predict an outsider will hit the post first. P NAGADOO is preparing a coup with SPECIAL FORCE, he has a plum draw which he didn’t get on his last few runs. His connections are confident and D.SOOFUL has been booked to give him the best chance possible. BLUNDERBUSS and KINGS EMPIRE are genuine contenders. Beware of HIT THE GREEN who did nothing wrong last year, but seems to miss that little bit extra. Watchout for the market movers, it will indicate who will win!

RACE 2: VERY VARY

A very competitive field with many potential contenders. There is not a clear favorite as the bookies are confused about their chances. It is being rumoured tha S.NARANG is very confident his protege will be too good for them. D.BHEEKARY is riding with confidence and it seems he will stir him home. Progress is expected from BIRTHDAY BOY. MANOLETE and MARULA will be in the mix. One to watch is WHAT A KID, it is being said J.ALLYHOSAIN will win on a horse with a generous odds. BLEU ROYALE will need this run.

RACE3: SAND PATH

A.SONARAM has promised to redeem himself on SAND PATH, he is the fittest with one race under his belt. He will be in the box and will fire in the straight. C.DABY is confident for a double with him and they are on board. BALLANTINE HALL has been training well but the 1500m might be too much for a first start this season. It won’t be a surprise if he wins, but he is coming more to test his stamina. MAN FROM SEATTLE in this benchmark is a serious player, he might prove too good on his day. HIGH KEY and WORDBUSTER will be in the fight, with B.FAYD’HERBE looking to break the ice before the classic race.

RACE4: KAYDEN’S PRIDE

R.MAINGARD is hoping to continue his winning trend with KAYDEN’S PRIDE. There were lots of questions around PC ORFFER, but he seems to have turn the table around. He looks fit and more energetic. He is confident to bring KAYDEN’S PRIDE home, and prove his critics wrong. DONNAN is the biggest threat to the favorite, he’s definitely in but he would have preferred a longer trip. MERVEN/ MAHADIA newcomers are performing well, watch out for GIGGIN for a small upset. The other two newcomers will need to prove themselves. 

RACE 5: DARK FORCE

R.MAINGARD is hoping for a very good day, he firmly believes he can bring at least two winners if not more. He is confident DARK FORCE will be right there and will bolt it home. The plan is to track the leaders and take the first run. P C ORFFER rates him highly and is a major player. J.ALLYHOSAIN has promised his fans to win on NINOTTO but the stable is less confident. CANDY APPLE might be out paced in this race. GREAT STOHVANEN will likely lead, SUPERSTITIOUS will need this run. S.HURCHUND is hoping to break the ice with VARSIDE, but it seems they might need to wait a bit more.

RACE 6: TORO BRAVO

Certainly the most interesting race of the day alongside the main race. SHADOWING a recent winner is coming back after a small break, the weight and the draw will make it tougher for him. BLACKBURN ROC will be there, but not this time. EMERALD BAND was one of the big satisfactions of the V.ALLET last year, he is a genuine sort. He will be up there, but he might engage in a battle to lead which will prove costly in the end. TORO BRAVO has shown what he is capable of, he was one of the impressive performers last year. He seemed to be overlooked or not given proper credit for his performances. The connaisseurs have compared him with the mighty DYNAMITE JACk, which tells it all. If TORO BRAVO settles in the race, he will be a tough nut to crack.

RACE 7: ALRAMZ

What a fantastic first classic we are having, the quality is definitely here. The owners have invested massively to bring such quality, in this lot many will shine this season. First to start is PADRE PIO, he is one of the most expensive buys of this year, he might not win this race but he will be a star this year. Likewise BATTLE OF ALESSIA will have his fair share of wins. STOPALLTHECLOCKS is another taken to have a bright season. N.JUGLALL promised to win on COUNT JACK, after the disappointment of last year. He will run a brave race but will have a tough one in TWIST OF FATE. He is the classiest of the lot, and he already proved himself in numerous group races. He was often associated with B.FAYD’HERBE, and he promised to leave his fingerprints on this race. He is confident he will win. One to watch is ALRAMZ, his connections have a silent hope with him, the jockey is confident he will be there. The only concern is the outside draw, with some luck he will the first classic.

RACE 8: KALGOORLIE

ITALIAN WAY and B.FAYD’HERBE get along well. He rarely had a bad race with him. He will take the first run on his opponents if he can’t lead and will go all the way. TICKET HOLDER finished a good second with an impressive acceleration but didn’t show up after. KALGOORLIE runs well fresh, he’s taken to run a cracker. It will be tougher for HEART OF DARKNESS this time. WHY WOULDN’T YEW will run an improved race. Watchout if the money comes in for POWER TOWER.

RACE 9: CANARY ISLAND

The most open race of the day, smart will be the one who can predict the winner. It’s anyone’s race, most of them do not appeal. STREET BYTE is the logical favorite, he should be there. His good draw will be a plus. The two newcomers are to be watched closely especially if the money is in. We have sounded the stables for the remaining runners, it seems no one is optimistic in their chances. Watch for the market movers, it will be a good indication. CANARY ISLAND has been given the same training as GO JEWEL. B.FAYD’HERBE has taken special care with him, he should score as his connections are confident.
