RACE 1: GIANT CRUISE

The opening race offers a mediocre field. Not many of them inspire trust. TROJAN QUEST is down in class, in this grade he will be a big player. J M HENRY is facing some serious issues with many members losing faith in him. He is an opportunity to earn some credit but he has to beat GIANT TRUST. S.HURCHUND should triumph in this field, he still has room for progress but with these opponents he can open his account. MANOLETE and ROCHESTER need to regain their fitness. Ignore WHAT A KID’s last race, he was clearly on a mission. He is the main threat to our selection. ARCTIC FLYER is a place chance.

RACE 2: NIKHILS INN

A very open race, our pick is NIKHILS INN. He can make amends, and S.MAHADIA believes in his chances. He gives him the best chance of the day. B.SOOFUL is very much in contention for the title race, he promised to give it all on NIKHILS INN. TARANAKI has an inside draw, he needs to do more than his recent performances. R K CHUMUN has shown some positive signs, TYRIAN is a good place bet. SACRED NIGHT and CAPKUTA are decent outsiders. THE GYPSY KING and SAN ANDREAS are not priorities. THE RIGHT STUFF and TIME IS GOLD will have to do more.

RACE 3: EMBLEM OF HOPE

It will be a match between EMBLEM OF HOPE and BESTDAY OF MYLIFE if ever there will be one. BESTDAY OF MYLIFE is in fine form, but he has a mountain to climb. EMBLEM OF HOPE should score a fourth consecutive win. He is in terrific condition and it should be another comfortable win. MAN OF PROPERTY must be seen again. BORYA and INAUGURATION are solid place chances. CRIMSON GOD will finish strongly again. JET STREAM and CAMP DAVID will have to battle hard.

RACE 4: ALL ABOUT THE BASS

QUATRO FIVE SIX is not a priority in this lot. WATCH ME DAD last race is to be ignored, he’s capable of much better. BIG MISTAKE and BOLD HORIZON are only outsiders. CARLAS MAMBO and THE BYZANTINE are interesting places. Beware of MAC ‘N SCAR, I.SANTANA has his eyes set on the jockey’s championship. He will be right there, the threat to our pick. ALL ABOUT THE BASS is in superb form, his training has been excellent. His connections are confident for the win.

RACE 5: DUKE’S DOMAIN

The most competitive and attractive race on the card. CREATION is to be reviewed. KING OF TARA is down in grades, a serious contender here. Improvement is expected from DOUBLE THE FUN. PRINCE OF VENICE failed to confirm, he has the outside draw to overcome. Watchout for SEA DANCE, C.DABY has a silent hope with him. P C ORFFER gave AFDEEK as his best chance, the threat to our selection. CYBER SPECIAL is an interesting place bet. THE IT FACTOR has shown nothing so far. DUKE’S DOMAIN is in top form, he is likely to have a dream run from barrier two. B.SOOFUL likes him a lot, R.GUJADHUR is confident for the win.

RACE 6: TWIST OF FATE

The smaller the field the bigger the upset. We saw it last week with UNDERCOVER AGENT who was apparently unbeatable. Yet ALYAASAAT with a superb tactical manoeuvre by B.SOOFUL stole the show. He was no match. It is being said the same tactics will be employed on PATROL OFFICER. He will try to take everyone by surprise. TWIST OF FATE oozes in class, he was somehow unlucky in the maiden cup where at a crucial stage he was forced on the outside. He could have scared the winner of finishing more closely. On class TWIST OF FATE should win this, and his training suggests he should! R.MAINGARD was terribly upset when UNDERCOVER AGENT lost, he promised to upset the odds with SPRING MAN.

RACE 7: POINCIANA

MARULA is down in class, he has done very well this season. The outside draw is an issue. HIGH VOLTAGE is not a priority. STRAIGHT is a good place bet. The distance is too short for CRAZY CHARLIE. MATCHLESS CAPTAIN has been toothless so far. RAHEEB needs to improve his fitness. ROCK MANOR and FORT MCHENRY are only outsiders. DESERT BOY is a very capable sort, his last race is to be ignored. He can do much better. Our pick is POINCIANA, with B.WOODWORTH gradually getting his mojo back. He gave POINCIANA as his best chance, the short sprint will suit him.

RACE 8: OXFORD BLUE

A very weak field, OXFORD BLUE is the best of all. He’s been knocking at the door, if he doesn’t win this race he will never get one easier. A.SONARAM has had a rather good season, he is on the up and should be even better next season. He gave OXFORD BLUE a very solid chance to win, likewise C.DABY is confident. CLOUD SEEDER is a good place bet. CASANOVA KING is not a priority. CELESTIAL MAGMA and SUBTROPICAL will need to do better. EAGLES VISION has a good claim in this, the closest challenger for OXFORD BLUE.
