RACE 1: VALERIN

A.SONARAM took time to balance his mount last time on VALERIN, he finished well and was outpaced at the start of the race. His connections were confident that he would have got the better of YANKEE FORCE. A.SONARAM has promised to make it right this time. The inside draw and the apprentice’s allowance will make the difference. The GUJADHUR stable has only one runner, they do have faith in OPAGUE. S.DONOHUE gives him a good chance, nothing more. The conditions are not in his favor, we will have to wait a bit more for OPAGUE to win his first race. DESERT THIEF and XANTHUS will be right in the mix. One to watch is LADY’S KNIGHT if the money is in, but it seems his entourage want to give him this run.

RACE 2: GIRATORIO

GIRATORIO was expected to win on his first outing, he was a bit green. He’s taken to run a cracker, B.FAYD’HERBE is desperate to bag the winners as soon as possible. V.ALLET stable is equally confident. DESERT ILLUSION made a solid debut, but it will be a big ask for him to win this. SILVER SONG will have his fair share of wins this season, it won’t be a surprise if he goes all the way but GIROTARIO can prove too strong. Watchout for TICKET TO CAIRO, JMH has a silent hope with him, PK HORIL has been booked!

RACE3: CAPTAIN GARETT

It should be a simple affair for CAPTAIN GARETT, the ROUSSET connection are convinced he will be too good in this field. CAPTAIN GARETT has given entire satisfaction and the winning trend should continue. B.SOOFUL even makes him the banker of the season, it will be a very comfortable victory. The remaining in the field is far behind the favorite. Progress is expected from COUP FOR LUTE.

RACE 4: SWAGGER JAGGER

SWAGGER JAGGER ran a brave race last time, he almost made it all. Now with one race under his belt he is much fitter. S.MAHADIA rates him very highly and is confident to strike with him. PK HORIL has promised to redeem himself. It will be a catch me if you can! SILVER HERITAGE is a consistent performer, his performances speak for himself. He won’t be far from the winner. S.JONES better start winning some races fast, it is being rumoured the departure of P F KUNE is imminent because of a lack of results. S JONES isn’t really to be blamed as he was unfortunate to lose B WOODWORTH. The in-form D BHEEKARY has been booked to turn their luck around on CARLAS MAMBO. BEST DAY OF MYLIFE has been training well, will win this season.

RACE5: CULTURE TRIP

The most competitive race on the card. CULTURE TRIP won a quite an easy race in his stantdards, with little of fuss. The connections rate him highly, another win is expected. AFDEEK is down in class, will be there. JUNIPER LANE is almost a certain place bet, the race is not in his favor but he is a very decent horse. DUKE’S DOMAIN is to be watched closely, he will be in the mix. OVATION AWARD will run an improved race.

RACE 6: TWIST OF FATE

The sheriff is back in town! It will be back to back wins for him with little fuss. Unless by accident, he will prove too strong. He was grossly underestimated in the Duchess, and this time it will be a walk over for him. The main danger will be PATROL OFFICER, he will most likely be in second place. We know how much N.JUGLALL loved him, he would have loved to challenge the mighty TWIST OF FATE. WHITE RIVER is coming back after a spell on the touchline, this run will do a lot of good to him. WHITE RIVER has already left his fingerprints on our turf, he has nothing to prove. He has still got it, it will be a magnificent Maiden Cup with the two of the highest horses on the island. UNDERCOVER AGENT has everything to prove yet. It will be tough for the race to feature.

RACE 7: RIVER THAMES

RIVER THAMES ran a cracker race, only to be beaten to an excellent THOMAS HENRY. With a favorable draw, he led all the way. S.JONES rates him the best chance of the day, and it’s time to make the P F KUNE clan happy. The connection expects nothing less than a win. AFRICAN ROCK has been sparkling in training, many good things are being said about him. It won’t be a surprise if he makes a winning debut, watchout to see if the money is in! FAIRBANKS will be in the money. Improvement is expected from CRAZY CHARLIE.

RACE 8: DUKE OF YORK

This is the most open race of the day, we have four debutantes. We advise to be cautious, the market will clearly show how the winner will be. The winner will be among the newcomers. It seems it will be a good duel between BRABANZIO and SEOUL. There’s not a lot between the two and both the yards fancy their horses. BRABANZIO, who has only raced once in S.AFRICA and finished close. He has a good room for improvement. SEOUL is also a good sort, will be there. The two other debutants are to be watched. DUKE OF YORK will win is ready for his win, the connections are very confident. His time has come!
