RACE 1: KING’S EMPIRE

A very tricky opening race, watchout where the money is. P.NAGADOO since last year is trying to do a coup with SPECIAL FORCE, he had some near misses but he insists he will make him triumph. SARAH’S SECRET is an honest performer, and will be in the placings. GIMME A SWINGER is not a sound horse, to be reviewed the same as BIOMETRIC. SEVENTH SILVER is rather an unpredictable sort. Our vote goes to KING’S EMPIRE, he has not finished far in his last few races. S.HURCHUND is confident he will be too good for his opponents, and B.BHAUGEEROTHEE has promised to win like he did on THE RIDDLER. S.HURCHUND makes him their best chance of the day.

RACE 2: GLOBAL GLORY

DUKE OF YORK is a huge disappointment, tipped by his connections he failed to deliver. He was flat footed and had no acceleration despite having a dream run, to be reviewed. COUP FOR LUTE has not been progressing as per expectations. GO JEWEL run a cracker of a race on debut, will be right up there. Our pick is GLOBAL GLORY, he has been trained to kill, during the week P.MERVEN celebrated his birthday this would be a perfect gift. R.OLIVER has promised to redeem himself after losing on G I JOE.

RACE3: KAYDEN’S PRIDE

A.SONARAM was severely reprimanded by C.DABY. The latter was very upset with the apprentice as he thought there were lots of shortcomings in his ride. It took a few days for the trainer to cool down, but he does not doubt the honesty of A.SONARAM. It was just not an inspired ride from him. A.SONARAM as promised to redeem himself.. KAYDEN’S PRIDE is a genuine performer, if he takes the first run will be a big threat. The connections are confident and the jockey equally. P C ORFFER is eager to be back in the winning enclosure. VIKING TRAIL will be there. Beware of MOSCHINO, B.FAYD’HERBE will try a coup a la KING OF TARA.

RACE4: SEA DANCE

SEA DANCE was impressive last time out, he won going away. Even the mighty finisher who is MEMPHIS MAFIA could not do much. He was strongly fancied by the stable last time, this time also. His connections are confident to land the double, and will be tough to beat. JUNIPER LANE has been unlucky, but we have to admit CULTURE TRIP beat him fair and square. He will be there again, but will find it harder this time. CARLAS MAMBO had favorable circumstances in his last run, which he won’t get this time. The one to follow is WATCH ME DAD, if he is not too far behind, will be a threat to the favorite. 

RACE 5: BLACKBURN ROC

If the jockey of BLACKBURN ROC was more inspired last time he could have beaten TORO BRAVO. This statement says a lot. G.ROUSSET was not necessarily happy and he thought his protege would have won it. In this rather average field, he is the best and might be hard to resist. N.TEEHA wants to return with a bang and makes him the banker of the day! Beware of CHARLESTON HERO, it’s being said V.ALLET’s runner will try to cause a small upset. BAG OF TRICKS made an excellent debut, won’t be too far. HUBBLE seems to have lost the winning touch. 

RACE 6: WALLS OF DUBROVNIK

A very competitive field, DOUBLETHINK is overvalued. He is in with a good chance but his price is too short. R.GUJADHUR is confident that he will run a good race, nothing more. It will be harder for JAMES PETER this time. Watchout for GUNNER RUNNER, he is in fine form. An improved race is expected from TICKET TO CAIRO. Our choice is for the debutant WALLS OF DUBROVNIK, he has a good pedigree and has a big chance in this. S.HURCHUND is hoping for a double on the card, and I.SANTANA is in full spirit. They have faith they will beat the hot favorite.

RACE 7: FROSTED GOLD

PADRE PIO should be a big runner, S.JONES is confident if A.ROY doesn’t commit a mistake he should go very close. In the Duchess, he had to be settled on the outside and in the straight he was still going strong. He stayed on, running his race without a doubt. He should have a more favorable run, with the allowance of the apprentice he is a major player. A.ROY is confident to steer him home. The two R.MAINGARD horses are the main threats in this race. FROSTED GOLD came in with a big reputation, he is very classy. R.MAINGARD is confident his horse will get the better of PADRE PIO. He recognizes the hurdle which is PARDRE PIO, but he firmly believes he will bag it. P C OFFER is hoping for a double on the card. FOOLS GOLD has a very good chance, he will be right there. ARIZONA SILK is to be reviewed. The dark horse is MASTER OF ILLUSION, C.DABY has a silent hope with him.

RACE 8:XANTHUS

It’s now or never for HIT THE GREEN, that’s seems to be the words in the Champ de Mars. His trainer is out of ideas of how to make this horse win, he had tried several tactics but he always fell short. P C ORFFER gives him a decent, and promised to give it all. R.MAINGARD has some reserves. XANTHUS will be in the mix, R.OLIVER promised a second birthday present to the trainer. MISTY ROLLER is somehow overvalued, though he has been super consistent. C.DABY is not really confident with him this time. It won’t be a surprise if an outsider wins this.

RACE 9: ULTIMATE WARRIOR

That’s a mini Duchess for the 0-26. We have 6 debutants, it’s worth having a watch on them all. The market will be a good indicator of this. Our pick is XENON, R.MAINGARD was hoping to make a coup on his debut but it didn’t happen. He was inconvenienced in some parts of the race, P C ORFFER has faith, but it will be tough. There are a lot of unknown variables, better be careful. Out of the newcomers, we have heard good things about ALPIROD and ULTIMATE WARRIOR. Their trainers are confident they will have a decent race. The stables are rather adopting a cautious approach, we give a tentative vote to the ULTIMATE WARRIOR as he’s been training well.
