RACE 1: SARAH’S SECRET

The 0-20 is always an open contest. Sarah’s secret is the most consistent of the lot and a win is long overdue, trained well if given a good position can strike. El Patron is a good sort and one to watch in this rating. Straight would be right in the mix after giving satisfaction in the morning spurts.

RACE 2: GUNNER RUNNER

Lagacio, tipped to win on his last two outings and failed to do so, was a bit flat in the final straight. Has improved his condition but will have a tough task waiting in Gunner Runner. The latter finished well behind Ballantine Hall and could have won if the jockey was more inspired.  Sand path should improve after progress made in training.

RACE3: HEART OF DARKNESS

Very little to choose on form, Heart of Darkness finished a respectable third place. The jockey does not inspire much confidence but if given a soft lead can make the frame. In this rating Mr Hardy offers a good option with one race under his belt should be fitter. Better wait and see where the money is in!

RACE4: NINOTTO

Ninotto should make it back to back wins and faces a rather weak field. One to watch is Hubble with J.Allyhosain on board. Highly regarded by his trainer, is the main threat to the favorite. After a sensational season last year From the Ashes seems trying to catch his form. Big voice jack will be in the winning enclosure this year.

RACE 5: LEMON DROP SHOT

Lemon drop shot surrounding were left speechless last time out, with a more inspired move by his jockey should have won. Jockey J.Allyhosain on board, he was booked by the stable well before. Northern Spy is a formidable competitor but was not fully convincing last time out, showing signs he might have hit his optimum form. Mind blowing will win this year but not this time out.

RACE 6: WHITE RIVER

The champion horse is back and should silence the critics. The R.Gujadhur yard was happy with his performance on his first run of 2020 but disappointed he did not win.  He needed this run and will be much fitter. Alyaasaat is a very capable one, the weight and having one race this season made the difference against White River. The main threat will be Undercover Agent who was sensational in training and is a classy sort. The dark horse is Table Bay who seems to be back at his best.

RACE 7: EMERALD BAND

Emerald Band is taken to reverse the result this time. A very good first race which might have finished closer if the jockey was more poised. Ballantine Hall was ridden expertly by J.Bardottier on his winning debut, and will go close again. Anza-Borrego is still short on fitness and looks like the one who can eventually win a race for P.Nagadoo stable.

RACE 8: POINCIANA

Poinciana beaten favorite last time out can get the better of this average field. Has taken his race well and is running for a second consecutive week. Minnesota Dream was disappointing last week and was under pressure very early.  Lucky at last and Dealer’s charm will be right in the mix. Memphis Mafia’s last race needs to be ignored and the yard has a silent hope.
